Snooki -- One Big Pain in the Neck

Snooki -- One Big Pain in the Neck

After being taken into custody for crashing into a police car in Italy yesterday, Snooki was spotted shooting scenes of "Jersey Shore" on Tuesday wearing -- and then taking off -- a neck brace.

While it is unclear whether or not she was really hurt, it's all fun and games until Snooks loses her ... tan.

Last March we learned that Disney/Pixar is planning the release of an animated film that will feature, for the first time, a female lead character. Back then, we got to see a few concept images from the film titled Brave. Today we get our first real look at that lead character as she will appear in the film … say hello to Pixar‘s first leading lady Princess Merida.

Here she is, in all her glory – the heroine of Pixar’s first female-led narrative, the Scotland-set folktale, Brave. This is the Princess Merida, as voiced by Kelly MacDonald … If you recall, the film is going to officially come with two credited directors, Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, but it’s worth noting that they worked on the film in series, not in parallel. Ms. Chapman left the film earlier this year, when Mr. Andres took up the baton. The first footage from Brave is to premiere in a teaser paired with Cars 2, out in the US on June 24th.

Aww … I love her! As I’ve said before, Cars is my least-favorite Pixar film and I’m assuming that Cars 2 will illicit the same reaction from me … but I might be cajoled into seeing the film if only to get my first real look at Princess Merida on the big screen. It’s about time that Pixar featured a lead female character. I think Princess Merida will make a fine heroine for the Disney/Pixar catalog of characters.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 has released another character poster to promote the upcoming release of the FINAL FINAL FINAL Harry Potter film. As I guessed, a second villain character poster has been released after the Lord Voldemort poster was released last week. Click below to check out the just-released Draco Malfoy poster.

UGH … Draco Malfoy makes the perfect villain … cuz I really loathe the character — A LOT — but in the context of the way he was raised in the loathsome Malfoy family, his treachery makes total sense. I can’t even tell you how many times I wished I could be able to punch that sniveling little creep in the face myself … which means that JK Rowling did a great job writing his character. After the Voldemort poster was released, I was sure that other villain posters would come … now that Draco‘s poster has been released, I expect other posters — like Bellatrix LeStrange — will come next. The Harry Potter film franchise ends in just over a month … for good. I am so not ready to say goodbye.

Wow. Hmm. Good thing - or a bummer???

Organizers for Coachella have announced that next year's festival, for the first time in its history, will be held over two consecutive weekends. As tickets sold out in record time this year (one week), they thought it was a good idea to expand to meet the demand.

The official announcement was made via the festival's website, stating:

"We know many of you were unable to attend this year's festival because passes sold out much sooner than anticipated. We were truly surprised by the overwhelming response and remain honored by your passion and enthusiasm. We also know some of you purchased through non-legitimate sources and were inconvenienced, gouged or totally scammed. We hope that these changes will give everyone the opportunity to purchase directly from Coachella.com."

Now, here's the catch:

Rather than have two events with separate acts and experiences, organizers are promising that the festival will "attempt to produce two identical weekends" with the same lineup, location and art installations.

Um, what? Sorry, but who the hell is gonna want to go to the second weekend when they could just read all about the first on the Internet?! Every special performance will already be spoiled for any music-lover with WiFi! And also, there's no way they're going to sell as many tix to the second weekend than the first if its exactly the same…so what's the point?

In concept, this was a really well-thought idea, but in practice, we imagine this will be the first and last time they try this out. Seriously, would it kill them to at least pick a different headliner for each weekend? One HUGE different artist for each night to spice things up a bit? Maybe?

What do U think? Will it bother U if you go the second weekend and its IDENTICAL to the weekend before, or would U prefer it that way? (Also, decide fast! Weekend passes go on sale June 3rd!)

Arnold and Maria's Ex-Nanny: 'He Never Touched ME!'

Arnold and Maria's Ex-Nanny: 'He Never Touched ME!'

Filed under: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver, Mildred Patricia Baena, Schwarzenegger Scandal

Arnold Schwarzenegger was strictly a one household staffer type of guy -- this according to a former nanny who claims the governator had a wandering eye, but never got physical with her or any other female staffer.

0527_arnold_maid_mildred_ex_tmz

The nanny -- who worked with Arnold and Maria Shriver during the Mildred "Patty" Baena years -- tells TMZ Arnold "was a flirt, but he never touched me inappropriately, or anyone else that I could tell."

The former staffer believes Patty must have aggressively pursued Arnold since -- as far as she could tell -- he was "respectful" of all the other female staffers.

The woman says many employees realized the resemblance between Patty's young son and Arnold -- but says Patty would only admit her husband was not the daddy.

BTW, by all counts ... the ex-nanny was more, umm ... attractive than Patty back in the day. Whatever that's worth.

Yesterday afternoon, David and I made our way to the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, CA to catch an early showing of The Hangover Part II. Because I had an important concert to attend last night, I wanted to see the film before the weekend took hold and I missed seeing it altogether. Going into seeing this movie, I honestly wasn’t expecting very much. Everything I heard was that Part II was pretty much exactly like the original film … but set in Bangkok. I have to say, there really wasn’t anything new in the sequel that made it any better … but if you enjoyed The Hangover, chances are you will also enjoy The Hangover Part II.

I have to say … the movie was only incidentally funny. Someone gets hurt — laugh. Someone get’s a face tattoo — laugh. The monkey does something funny — laugh. But all the written jokes fell totally flat. The entire theater we were in was mostly silent for most of the film. I, personally, didn’t find many of the jokes funny but I didn’t hate the film. You deffo know what you’re in for before you even step foot in the theater … on that account, the movie does not disappoint. I guess I was expecting some change in the formula in this sequel to make it more interesting … but it was pretty much the same exact movie all over again … right down to the photo montage at the end with the credits. Was I entertained? Yes, mildly. Did I hate the film? Not really. Is it a great movie? I can’t say that it is … but, again, I think most people will know if they will like the film before they even seen the film. If you think you will enjoy The Hangover Part II, then you prolly will. If you think you won’t, you won’t.

Did any of y’all see The Hangover Part II yet? What did YOU think?

The Beginning Of The End

Last night I attended my 12th show of Prince‘s 21 Night Stand concert residency here in LA which, I have learned, is coming to an end this weekend. Apparently, the 21 Nite Stand refers to 21 performances … not 21 actual nights of shows. It was revealed yesterday that this weekend’s shows — Friday, Saturday and Sunday — will be the final shows … so that made last night’s performance a bit more special.

I have to say, Prince seemed to exhibit a new kind of energy in last night’s show … he turned on the sexy made the crowd go wild with the flipping open of his shirt. The setlist got switched up a bit, much to the crowd’s glee. Here is the setlist from last night’s show:

Samples Set:

When Doves Cry (In full)
Nasty Girl
Sign O’ the Times
Alphabet Street
Forever In My Life
Darling Nikki
Hot Thing
I Would Die 4 U

D.M.S.R.
Pop Life
Musicology
Prince & the Band
Shhhhh
U Will Be With Me

Instrumental Interlude

Take Me With U
Anotherloverholeinyourhead (With Rock Lobster guitar riff)
Peach
Cool
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
Let’s Work
U Got The Look
Make U Feel My Love
Purple Rain

Encore 1:

A Love Bizarre (Duet with Nikka Costa)
Controversy

Encore 2:

Disco Heat
Baby I’m A Star
Kiss

Encore 3:

Nothing Compares 2 U (Duet with Shelby J.)

I can’t even believe it but … as soon as I learned that this weekend’s shows will be the last I immediately got unreasonably and inexplicably bummed out. Trust me, I know how lucky we Los Angelinos are that we got about a month of Prince shows to attend in various venues — and I am really grateful for that — but I’ve oddly become accustomed to weekly Prince shows. Lord, I’m gonna go into mourning after Sunday night’s final show … I just know it ;)

Tonight, I go back for my 13th show with my friend Josh so I’m really looking forward to that :) I hope your long Memorial Day weekend is off to a great start … have a hot dog for me, y’all!!

Cheryl Cole OUT As British 'X-Factor' Judge Too

Cheryl Cole OUT As British 'X-Factor' Judge Too

Filed under: Cheryl Cole, X Factor

Cheryl Cole was a judge on two different versions of "The X-Factor." What a difference a week makes!

0530_cheryl_cole_bn_getty
The judges for this season of the popular British show were announced today and Cole's name was off the list. This year's judges panel is made up of music mogul Louis Walsh, Take That's Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child and Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz.

As TMZ first reported, Cole was supposed to be on the U.S. version of the show, but was given the boot because producers thought her accent was too thick for American audiences.

Guess the Brit's don't have any issue with Rowland's thick accent.

David Beckham -- 'Speeding Really Bad' Before Crash

David Beckham -- 'Speeding Really Bad' Before Crash

Filed under: David Beckham, 911 Call

David Beckham was driving like a MANIAC before swerving into another lane at a dangerously high speed ... and rear-ending a stalled vehicle earlier this month -- this according to multiple 911 calls.

0527_David_Beckham_Audio_911_EX2

One caller -- who claims she was driving behind David for several miles-- reported that David was "driving recklessly" and "speeding really bad" before slamming into the stalled car on May 6.

Another caller claims David was "definitely speeding" -- pulling in and out of the carpool lane ... "breaking a couple traffic laws."

As we previously reported, Beckham rear-ended another car with his Black Escalade ... on one of the busiest highways in L.A. -- and the other driver had to be taken to the hospital.

Beckham -- whose son Brooklyn was in the car with him at the time -- has not been arrested or cited.

A spokesman for Beckham tells us, "As unfortunate as accidents are, David was not cited by the police at the scene for any violations."
