Director and special effects king George Lucas has reportedly starting buying the rights to deceased film legends like Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck so he can use the old footage, and combine it with technology to digitally place them in a new feature!
According to Lucas' friend Mel Smith:
"George has been buying up the film rights to dead actors in the hope of using computer trickery to put them all together, so you'd have Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck alongside today's stars."
Doesn't seem very respectful to the actors and their memory!
Just because you have the technology to do something doesn't mean you should!
Hasn't anyone seen Jurassic Park?! LOLz!
But in all seriousness, we hope that whatever he's planning on doing is taken with the utmost care and respect to their families. We all saw what happened to the new Star Wars trilogy when he focused on the CGI instead of, you know, the actual actors.
Thoughts??
