Popstar Rihanna shared a photo on her official Twitter profile that gives us our first look at the packaging for her very own celebrity fragrance called Reb’l Fleur. It was announced earlier this year that Ri Ri would be launching her own scent in 2011 and altho the fragrance is not yet available for sale, Rihanna decided to give fans a “christmas surprise” sneak peek at what’s in store for them when the perfume goes on sale next year.

Here is what bottles of Reb’l Fleur will look like along with a description of what the stuff will smell like:
The fragrance is an intense and daring fruity chypre, composed of sophisticated floral notes: tuberose, violet and hibiscus, – with a splash of coconut water, – over the light and smooth base, the combination of the final notes evokes the impression of warm skin. The perfume was created by Caroline Sabas and Marypierre Julien of Givaudan. The elegant bottle, which glows from within, is beautifully designed in the shape of a high heel. The bottle is adorned with silken ribbons and an golden ring on the stopper … “Daring, sexy and truly memorable, Reb’l Fleur is as much in tune with Barbados-born Rihanna’s roots as it is with the glamour of her present life in New York City.” The fragrance will be launched in 2011.
As long as there are celebs, there will be celebrity fragrances. Some of them smell better than others, some of them look better than others … and for much of the target audience, none of that matters. What matters is the name on the bottle. Ardent Britney Spears fans will buy everything she puts out, as would fans of Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, etc. Now that Rihanna has her own perfume, her Reb’l fans can smell as sexy as she does … and really, isn’t that the most important thing to remember here?
