We guess we can understand how someone would want to try something new after 11 seasons, but the reported reason as to why Ryan Seacrest could be leaving… well, let's just say it isn't all that different.
He might be heading to NBC:
With just one more year left on his $15 million a year contract with the nation’s favorite singing competition, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is in talks to develop a rival talent hit for NBC.
Seacrest and his production company, Ryan Seacrest Productions, are working on “another music concept, which is a totally different kind of competition show. It is self-contained episodes. It is a bit more fun. It’s not contestant-competitive, it’s artist-competitive.”
We just don't know what we'll do without Ryan on Idol!
Though, we're doing okay without Simon, so… maybe they'll just have to find an AMAZING new host??
