Great news, Sarah Michelle Gellar fans … Entertainment Weekly is reporting that SMG will be making an in-person appearance at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con next month to promote her new CW TV series Ringer (set to air this Fall TV season). Not since 2004, when Gellar was promoting the horror film The Grudge, has SMG deigned to appear amongst the geeky faithful at Comic-Con so … if you want to see her up close and personal, now’s your chance!

For only the second time in her career as a geek goddess, Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to Comic-Con. Gellar will star on The CW’s panel for her return to TV in the fall show Ringer. She’ll take the stage along with co-stars Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, Kristoffer Polaha, and the show’s creative team. The panel will also give away a three-night stay in a luxurious hotel suite adjacent to Comic-Con (what every fan secretly wants — not posters or T-shirts, but the coveted hotel room upgrade). The last time she was at the San Diego fan convention it was for her 2004 horror movie The Grudge. (Nope, not Buffy the Vampire Slayer.)

OMG … the geeks are going to go WILD! SMG rarely appears at any fan functions so I’m certain news of her Comic-Con appearance has set fans into a frenzy. SMG may be on hand to promote Ringer but you can be sure that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer faithful will be coming out in droves to see their Queen in person. Even tho I’m SUCH a geek, I’ve never really had the desire to attend Comic-Con … but I gotta say … news that SMG will be in the hiz is giving me second thoughts. I can’t wait to hear how fans will handle her upcoming appearance.

Actually, it'll probably be just more of the same. The movie's called Valet Guys, and it's exactly what you think it is:

"We're two guys in our 40s valeting in Miami. We just get dumped on by a lot of people. A guy dumps on us too much and we take his car out for a ride. It creates a whole crazy weekend. It will hopefully be me and Sandler, shooting in Miami in January. He's got the script now. He hasn't jumped completely on board."

Guys, believe it or not Kevin James IS a hilarious guy. He just hasn't been doing the best movies. And Adam Sandler has strayed from what made him great in the first place. So, the only thing that gives us a glimmer of hope about this is that Kevin wrote it himself.

And there's no doubt that the two are friends and have good on-screen chemistry:

"The kids get along so well. The wives get along great. We go on vacation with them all the time. It's really nice, especially in Hollywood, to have someone you can talk to and has been through everything. He knows how people treat other people."

We're positive that with the success of the last two family-friendly rated flicks that that'll be the route that the higher ups will want to go. We say that's bullshizz! Make it rated R, Kevin, and blow us away with that sense of humor that doesn't need to be dumbed down!

Now THAT would be fantastic!

Sandler's reading the script now, so we'll see if he signs on.

Last night David and I met up with our friends Ollie, Woody and Darion for a fun concert night at the Staples Center to see Rihanna on her Loud Tour. Darion and I saw Rihanna on tour last year so we were very excited to see her perform again this year. I managed to stay away from photos and videos of this tour so as not to spoil the show and was very happy to see that Rihanna‘s live show changed pretty dramatically from last year to this year. While Rihanna put on a fantastic show, the consensus among the group was that her performance was not as high energy as it could’ve been. To be clear, Rihanna sings live thruout this entire show and she busts a move here and there … but the tone of the concert was kinda mid-tempo thruout. Her usual club bangers weren’t really loud at all, to be honest. That said, I personally really enjoyed myself and had a great time last night. I can’t say that Rihanna‘s Loud Tour is a high energy, blow your mind kind of show … but Rihanna does sing her greatest hits with all her heart and that alone is worth the price of admission.

This afternoon, I may be heading out to an early showing of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and tonight David and I are meeting up with Adriana at the LACMA to see the new Tim Burton Exhibit. Later tonight, I’m hoping to make it out to one of Ollie’s DJ parties so … today should be a fun-filled day. Happy Hump Day!

Stephen Colbert has JUST received approval from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for a "Colbert Super PAC," which will give him permission to "produce and air political advertisements." AWE-SOME. It gets even better though! Stephen has also gotten permission to use Comedy Central parent company Viacom's production resources/airtime/staff without his ads being [...]

It gets even better though! Stephen has also gotten permission to use Comedy Central parent company Viacom's production resources/airtime/staff without his ads being seen as an "in-kind" contribution from the company.

Basically what this means is that he'll be able to create political ads and express his views without Viacom having to be closely associated with his "politicking"...which is good, because they don't want to be. LOLz.

At this point, it looks like his ads will only be allowed to run during his show...but at least he'll be able to get the word out there!

We are seriously excited to hear what you have to say, Stephen! We're ready to be enlightened! Ha!

Greg Giraldo had some pretty famous friends -- including Jeff Ross, Daniel Tosh and "Marriage Ref" host Tom Papa -- and last night, they all performed in L.A. to raise money for the late comic's kids.



Papa -- who was pretty tight with Giraldo -- organized the "Big Time Comedy Show - A Giraldo Family Benefit."

According to the Huffington Post, all of the show's proceeds went to Giraldo's wife Maryann Giraldo and their four children.

Giraldo -- who was LEGENDARY on the Comedy Central "Roasts" -- died last year after overdosing on prescription medication.

New footage has surfaced from the Paulina Rubio arrest -- showing the handcuffed singer quietly entering a police car after she was popped for yelling at an officer in Florida.



TMZ broke the story, Rubio was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and refusal to obey a lawful command following a minor car accident on Saturday.

Rubio was placed inside the police vehicle -- but she was NOT taken to jail ... in part because she told cops she had to get home to breastfeed her child.

According to the police report, Rubio yelled at the first officer who responded to the car accident scene ... referring to cops as a "bunch of liars."

Rubio was eventually issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.�

So much for Lindsay Lohan telling her friends she's afraid to go out.


Lindsay Lohan, who had said she was scared to leave home because of the paparazzi, went out to Lexington Social House last night -- where the paps were out in full force.

As she walked out with friends including "Into the Wild" star Emile Hirsch and "Nikita's" Lyndsy Fonseca, the flashes went wild -- causing Lindsay to block her face and nearly fall over on the curb as one photog shouted "She's drunk!"

As we previously reported, Lohan just completed 35 days in home confinement yesterday.
