Paris Hilton's Twitter account might put a hole in her "wasn't my purse story". It seems that she posted a picture of a new Chanel purse she got back in July with the caption:
Love My New Chanel Purse I got Today. :)
You can see the same purse in TMZ's photo gallery. You know, taken on the night she was busted for cocaine possession with a purse she told police she borrowed from a friend.
Apparently the "not mine" story doesn't work too often in Vegas, according to police spokesman:
"She's being charged with possession, so it doesn't matter if it's hers or someone else's," Las Vegas police spokesman Officer Jay Rivera told E! News. "She's the person in possession of it, so it doesn't matter."
A criminal defense attorney shared his opinion with E!:
"In my 17 years of practicing criminal defense law, I have never heard of the 'it's not my handbag defense' actually working,"
