Arnold Schwarzenegger may not be the governor of California anymore but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t still the Governator. Ahhhnold has teamed up with comic book legend Stan Lee for a new comic book series titled The Governator based on a fictional Schwarzenegger superhero character. Ahhhnold and his Governator character are featured on the cover and in the pages of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine.

He’s been a famous body builder. He’s been a killer cyborg from the future. He’s been Governor of California. And now, in this week’s exclusive cover scoop, Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals his plans for the next phase of his extraordinary career: He’s going be a cartoon superhero, known as The Governator. “When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘the Governator,’ I thought the word was so cool,” Schwarzenegger, 63, tells EW in his first press interview since leaving office last January. (Watch an EW-exclusive video of Schwarzenegger talking about the project.) “The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And [this cartoon] brings everything together. It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies…” The animated TV show and comic book, being co-developed by no less a superhero authority than Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee (pictured, right), won’t be out until next year, but this week EW offers an exclusive early look at Arnold’s cartoon alter-ego. “The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger,” Lee says of the semi-fictional character. “We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.” Along with the Arnold Cave, the Governator will have a fleet of super vehicles at his disposal, a closet full of “Super Suits” that allow him to fly and perform other super stunts, and a team of colorful sidekicks, such as Zeke Muckerberg, the precocious 13-year-old computer whiz who acts as the Governator’s cybersecurity expert. Naturally, there will also be recurring supervillains — including an evil organization called Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, for short). For Schwarzenegger, the cartoon is obviously the next best thing to being President. “I love the idea of a control center below my house with a path so that boats and submarines can go right into the ocean,” he tells EW. “In the cartoon, my house is much closer to the beach than where we live, but, you know, it’s a cartoon.”

This is what the cover of issue #1 of The Governator looks like:

You know, I’m not at all an Ahhhnold fan but … this is kinda cool, I guess. I think the world is much better off with Schwarzenegger NOT in political office … but as a comic book character, yeah, I’m OK with that. I sincerely doubt this comic book series, which is really just a vanity project, will stand the test of time but … it’s fun. I can dig it. What do y’all think? Are you interested in following the adventures of The Governator?

Yesterday we got our first tease of the new MTV special documentary Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale and today we get to see a couple clips and a full length trailer for the special, due out on Sunday night. Additionally, Britney gave an interview to NYC radio station Z100 and talked a bit about her upcoming tour (tho, not about who she may be touring with). Check out all the clips below!

Here’s a clip of Britney talking about turning 30:

Here’s a clip of Britney talking to her BFF assistant Brett Miller about movies:

And here is the full trailer for I Am the Femme Fatale:

To be honest, I doubt we’ll really get any insight as to what is really going on with Britney these days … this special is clearly just a way to promote the release of her new album. Still, I can’t wait to see it. I simply cannot get enough of Femme Fatale. It’s just a fantastic album. Every track, every bonus track … including the Japanese bonus track Scary … all of the songs are SO good! I’m curious to see how much we will really see from the creation of the album.

As I mentioned above, Britney gave an interview to Z100 earlier today and in case you missed it, you can listen to her short chat with the NYC radio station HERE:

Don’t forget, Britney is scheduled to appear at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards this weekend. Will she perform or just appear on stage? I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. Despite some of the crazy negativity going around, I am still very excited for all this new Britney news. The music is just too fun not to enjoy anything associated with it :D

Great news, Betty White fans!! Our favorite Golden Girl is returning to NBC!! No, she won’t be hosting another ep of Saturday Night Live (at least, not yet) but she is getting her own TV show from the network. Betty White is making the transition to reality TV with a new candid camera-like prank show that is called Betty White’s Off Their Rockers where senior citizens play pranks on young people. Um, does this sound brilliant or what?

NBC will broadcast “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” (working title) a new hidden-camera comedy show hosted and executive-produced by seven-time Emmy Award winner Betty White, it was announced today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios. The series of 12 half-hour episodes will be produced by Kinetic Content, the new company run by Chris Coelen (“Secret Millionaire”). Known throughout Europe as “Benidorm Bastards,” “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” follows a band of seven senior citizens who make it their mission to play pranks on unsuspecting younger people. “Betty White is a comedic genius who escalates hilarity in any situation,” said Telegdy. “Viewers will thoroughly enjoy watching her pull one over on the unsuspecting youth of America.” “People have been telling me that I’m ‘Off My Rocker’ for years — now I can prove it,” commented White. “NBC is a terrific home for great comedy and Betty White’s mischievous sense of humor is a perfect fit with this format which has shattered ratings expectations and garnered critical acclaim in every territory around the world,” said Coelen, CEO of Kinetic Content. Caroline Kusser, Director North America of SevenOne International, said: “We are thrilled to work with Betty White and Chris Coelen — an absolute dream team for this hilarious international smash hit.” The deal reunites White with NBC, where “The Golden Girls” ran successfully for seven seasons. More recently, White’s performance on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” earned her another Emmy. A television veteran whose many credits extend to the medium’s early years, White also gained notice and an Emmy Award for her performance as Sue Ann Nevins on the classic “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.” White remains one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood. Having just turned 89 years old, she continues to star with Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves in the hit sitcom “Hot in Cleveland” for TV Land, which has been picked up for a third season. In addition, her new book “If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won’t),” will be released by Penguin on May 3. Consistent with the fun, playful tone of White’s persona, the original version of the series has received many awards worldwide. “Benidorm” swept the 2010 Rose d’Or Awards, winning the Best Comedy Award as well as the Golden Rose for Best Program of the entire competition. In addition, the show won Best Comedy Format at the 2010 FRAPA Format Awards.

What a great idea! I am so in love with this concept. Elderly people can be really funny … the thought of a group of older folks playing pranks on unsuspecting young folks is BRILLIANT! I think NBC is very smart to partner with Betty on this project. She is the perfect name and face to attach to this project. My guess is that Betty will host the show … but I am hoping she’ll participate in a prank or two as well. Oh and speaking of Betty‘s amazing stint on SNL, can you believe it’s been almost a YEAR since she hosted SNL last May? Dang, time sure flies don’t it? Now that Betty is back in the NBC family, I wonder if we’ll get to see her host SNL again soon? That would rule … and so will Betty‘s new show Off Their Rockers. I can’t wait to see it!!

A couple of weeks ago we got our first look at actress Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman and by pretty much all accounts, the new costume was met with revulsion and extreme disappointment (tho, original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter had very nice things to say). A few days later, Palicki showed up on the Wonder Woman set in costume as Diana Prince but there was no sight of the new WW costume. Today we get to see the new Wonder Woman in action as Wonder Woman and I am ELATED to reveal that the costume has been changed … and looks 10,000 times better!! See the photos below.

You may recall that we got to see a photo HERE that was created by an industrious Wonder Woman fan that showed how cool the new costume would look if some of the colors were changed. This new version of the costume, featured above on the WW set, utilizes those color changes!!!

The image on the left is the fan version color manipulation, the image on the right is the newly updated official costume (which you can compare to the tacky, cheap-looking costume we were shown HERE). Very clearly the folks at Warner Bros. realized that the costume looks much better with this color scheme and they decided to change up the outfit. Ye gods, Wonder Woman DOES look really good in this costume. I don’t even mind the shiny red top …. the muted and dark blue pants and the red boots make all the difference in the world. Yes, I’m still concerned about the script … but it looks like the folks producing this show are paying attention to fan feedback. Here’s hoping they will continue to listen to fans and will give us a really great new Wonder Woman TV series.

Do you love this or what?

Last month we learned officially that MTV is bringing back the hit 90′s animated series Beavis & Butt-Head and we also learned that the network is reviving another franchise. Teen Wolf is being resurrected on MTV in a dark new series that is much different from the original 1985 film it is based on. Taking a cute from the popularity of werewolves brought on by The Twilight Saga film franchise, MTV is hoping to capitalize on the craze. Check out the official trailer for the new Teen Wolf below.

Clearly, MTV thinks a werewolf drama series (which looks a lot like The Vampire Diaries, actually) is the way to go with the Teen Wolf name. IMHO, because this new version bares no resemblance whatsoever to the original comedic film, I don’t get why they are using the same name. Why not call it something else entirely? Here is the trailer for MTV‘s new Teen Wolf:

And for comparison, here is the trailer for the original 1985 Teen Wolf film which stars Michael J. Fox:

To be honest, I don’t really watch MTV programming at all so I don’t know that there is anything in this new version of Teen Wolf that looks interesting to me. If it had been a comedy, like the original film, I might’ve been more intrigued. What do y’all think? Does MTV‘s new Teen Wolf look like a show that YOU would like to watch?
