Early last month, singer/songwriter Tori Amos announced the forthcoming release of a new album titled Night of Hunters. Along with the album announcement, Tori also unveiled the first batch of tour dates for the Night of Hunters Tour (which kicks off in Europe in September). Today, ToriAmos.com has been updated with the unveiling of the official album artwork for Hunters, which you can check out below.
As you may recall, we have already learned that Night of Hunters was inspired by classical works of art and will be presented as a “21st century song cycle inspired by select classical pieces spanning the last 400 years”. According to Tori herself, the album will tell the tale of a “protagonist … woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself”. It sounds like a fascinating piece of art, I cannot wait to hear it for myself. The album is due for release in September. As for this cover artwork, well, it’s beautiful. Tori truly is a master artist, I’m certain this latest album will be yet another masterpiece of genius. I love this cover, don’t you?
