University of South Carolina sociology professor Mathieu Deflem is awesome will teach a course next semester with the following title — Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame.
Let's take a moment and reflect on the amazingness of that! Here's an excerpt from the course description of Deflem's class:
"The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga."
Here's Prof. Deflem on whether or not GaGa will make a guest appearance at his class:
"I will get the word out to her that I'm doing the course. But it might be logistically too difficult for her to come because she will be on tour for most of the spring semester."
This class sounds amazing! We'll be curious to hear more about it when the class begins next semester.
