According to an announcement on the The X Factor website:
"It’s official! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls… our very own Cheryl is going to perform on The X Factor this weekend! Yes during Sunday’s show the Girls' mentor will transform into her other role as global pop superstar, and treat us to some of her new material! It's all very exciting! After her performance she will then no doubt effortlessly re-assume her role as judge, in time for the dreaded sing-off."
