New political campaign posters have gone up in downtown Detroit, MI announcing that actor George Clooney is running for president! No, this wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, the posters are background pieces on the set of Clooney‘s new film The Ides of March which is currently filming in Detroit. As you may recall, back in February we saw photos of Clooney and his co-star Ryan Gosling on the Ides set in Ohio but in March we learned that filming production had moved North to the beautiful State of Michigan … where these new prop political posters are now on display.
I kinda love how the iconic HOPE poster used for President Barack Obama‘s successful campaign is now the standard thematic image for all political campaigns. I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of George Clooney really running for president but if Arnold Schwarzenegger can be governor of California then I don’t see why Georgie pie can’t hold a political office of his own. HMMM … something to think about.
