Sean Penn must be really sprung over his new romance with actress Scarlett Johansson because this weekend, homeboy was spotted on the streets of Malibu, CA this weekend having committed a bit of a fashion faux pas. You know those sticker labels that some stores (like Gap) put on pants to list waist and length size? You know how sometimes we, regular folk, fail to remove those stickers before we put on our new clothes and then go out in public looking a bit silly? Yeah, well that very same thing happened to superstar celeb Sean Penn.
There’s nothing like a romance with a beautiful woman to encourage a man to dress well. And with Sean Penn linked to blonde bombshell Scarlett Johansson, he has more reason than most to make an effort. But the actress may not be impressed by his most recent purchase of a new outfit. Penn made an amateur mistake by leaving the label on his jeans as he stepped out in Malibu yesterday. The actor wore double denim, with the sticky size label attached to his leg as he stopped at a gas station to pick up a drink and a packet of cigarettes. Twice-married Penn, 50, has recently been linked to newly divorced Scarlett, 26, and the pair were snapped together at Reese Witherspoon’s wedding last weekend. Yesterday Penn’s former fling, Sports Illustrated model Jessica White, told PopEater that they made a couple. ‘Yes, they’re great together,’ she said. ‘I think Sean needs a good woman in his life.’ The pair were first linked back in January, just weeks after Scarlett announced her divorce from her husband of two years, actor Ryan Reynolds.
Aww … poor Sean. I am not afraid to admit that the same thing has happened to me on more than one occasion … but it’s still funny to see these sorts of things happen even to the most famous folks on Earth. To be honest, I can understand how an older gentleman who managed to nab himself a much younger lady might have other things on his mind than sticker labels on his jeans ;)
