A new press release/news report out today, issued to folks in the moving making business, is suggesting that Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is ready to become a movie director. According to the article, TR has signed up with Wondros and will being making movies himself? The information isn’t totally clear … but that’s what it sounds like the report is saying. The NIN Hotline was the first site to take notice of this article … which you can read below.

While [David O.] Russell has broken into the spotmaking ranks, two other Academy Award-winning artists are looking to make their commercial helming debuts. Trent Reznor, who earlier this year won the Oscar for Best Achievement in Music on the strength of the original score for David Fincher’s The Social Network, has come aboard Wondros for his first career directorial representation. Reznor is currently working on the soundtrack for Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and will soon be available for spots via Wondros. Mackay described Reznor as “a creative visionary and tremendous collaborator” whose sensibilities and talent will transfer well to directing.

The full article can be read HERE but the text featured above contains the only TR references. To be honest, it makes sense that Reznor might want to move into that creative direction. He’s already accomplished so much in the world of music, I could see how he might be ready to dabble in the world of movies. TR is an incredibly creative person … the mind boggles at what kind of film he might envision and bring to life. I’m not entirely sure what to make of this report … but I like the sound of it … yes sir, I do.
