There's a new scene in the plot of this Lifetime movie!
When little 8-year-old Sarah Payne was abducted and murdered, her mother found a friend in News of the World.
Literally.
She and the paper's editor-in-chief, Rebekah Brooks, became super close during the investigation.
So close, Brooks presented Sara Payne with a token of her friendship - a cell phone "to help her stay in touch with her supporters."
Ooooh no.
Yep, you guessed it. Evidence has apparently been found showing the phone was hacked by Glen Mulclaire, a private investigator for the tabloid.
Those sneaky bitches!
When asked, Brooks denied having any part in the hacking. HA!
Ugh! So gross!
