Yesterday we got to see a short preview of Lindsay Lohan‘s pretaped interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and right now, we get to watch the whole thing. In an effort to do a bit of damage control after getting slapped with another jail sentence for probation violation last Friday, Lindsay made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show in an effort to try and get her career back on track. Apparently, getting a role in the planned Gotti biopic has inspired the young actress to take her career seriously … and step one of her career rejuvenation is making clear to the public that she is a changed person. Click below to see what Lindsay had to say on The Tonight Show last night.

Among the humorous things that Lindsay shared last night is her plan to win an Academy Award by the time she turns 30 years old (which she couldn’t even say with a straight face) … but she also kinda tries to take responsibility for her actions in a roundabout way. In the end, tho, she blames everything from her “youth” to the people in her life for her life’s failings. She says she wants the public to judge her solely on her work (which, for the most part is nonexistent) and not for her public persona. Here are the videos of Lindsay‘s complete interview on The Tonight Show:

I found it very interesting that the singer in The Tonight Show band is married to Lindsay‘s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley … so now we know how Lindsay got such a plumb spot on late night TV. I, for one, do not believe a word from this contrite Lindsay Lohan. Until she actually pays for her crimes and repays her debt to society, I do not believe she is worthy of forgiveness. It’s one thing to say you take responsibility for your actions and another to actually pay the consequences. Lindsay can say all the right things she wants … but until she faces the consequences of her actions, she really hasn’t done a damn thing.
