The heirs of legendary singer and actor Bing Crosby have been awarded more than $2 million in their lawsuit against Universal Music Group following a ten-year court battle.
A jury rendered the decision in Santa Monica on Wednesday, and Crosby's daughter Mary was in the courtroom with her mother, Kathryn, when the verdict was read.
"Recording artists have a long history of being taken advantage of by their labels, and despite the incredible contribution my father made to the world of music, he was no exception," Mary said.
