Lindsay Lohan is due to surrender herself to the court today to begin serving her sentence of 90 days in jail (and then another 90 days in rehab) but she will be showing up to court today without her new lawyer, Robert Shaprio … because just a few hours ago, he met with Judge Marsha Revel to inform her that he QUIT as Lohan‘s attorney. As you may recall, one of the stipulations of Shapiro‘s agreement to be Lindsay‘s attorney was that she turn herself in to the court in order to serve out her sentence as ordered … my guess is that Lindsay still is not ready to pay for her crimes and, as a result, Shapiro in good conscious could no longer represent her as her attorney. Here are the deets of this latest development as reported by TMZ:
TMZ has learned Bob Shapiro informed the judge in Lindsay Lohan’s case, he’s no longer representing her. It is unclear who will represent Lindsay tomorrow when she will turn herself in. We do not know why Shapiro has left the case. He said publicly he would represent Lindsay only if she agreed to jail and followed his instructions. Interestingly, Shawn Chapman Holley never signed the substitution of attorney form last Friday to get out of the case. So Shawn may be on the hook.
Ugh … so now that Shapiro is out, it is very likely that Lindsay‘s previous attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley — who also quit (or at least, attempted to) as Lohan‘s attorney, is back in to represent her tomorrow. This really sounds to me like Lindsay is trying to do everything she can to keep from going to jail to pay for her crimes … and no lawyer wants to go before Judge Revel to deal with her bullshizz antics. This surely will not look good to the judge today … but everything seems right on track — Lindsay Lohan will still very likely go to jail later on today.
