Good for you, American Idol! Stand up for yourself!
After all of the controversy surrounding auto-tuning of contestants’ voices on The X Factor, the folks at American Idol have chosen to make sure the world knows that they are NOT cool with that:
“We have never, nor would we ever, use Auto-Tuning during the `American Idol' competition.”
In response to allegations against them, The X Factor producers have admitted that pitch-correction methods were used during the post-production process for SOME performances, but now they’ve stated that they won’t use electronic pitch-correction software in the future.
Sureeeee….we’ve heard that one before!
Thank you, American Idol, for holding yourselves to higher standards.
Will U still watch The X Factor when it comes to Fox in 2011, despite the auto-tune controversy?
