Last night I met up with Tamar, Ollie, Caleb and Rob at Olvera Street in downtown LA so that we could all partake of the annual Day of the Dead celebration together. Altho today is the actual Day of the Dead (El Dia de los Muertos), participants march in the parade and dance in the celebration on the nights leading up to and including November 2. Last year I got my face painted in fun skull make-up, this year I decided to go the paper mask route:
After we ate a sumptuous meal at El Paseo, we watched as the parade marched by and marveled at the beautiful pageantry, amazing costumes and very cool make-up. No big plans for today … David and I will be gettin’ our vote on shortly and then will likely spend the rest of the day cleaning up our place which is in shambles since the Hallowe’en weekend. There are costume bits everywhere … ugh.
