On Sunday, the MTV Movie Awards were swamped with celebrities, celebrities with pretty effing dirty mouths!

Someone clocked that there were over 100 curses used throughout the broadcast, some planned, most not planned. On the East Coast live feed, some of those pesky little "fucks" made it through the censor to the shock and awe of, well, no one really, except probably some uppity wives of FCC execs.

So, not waiting to be told that they had to, MTV released s statement this morning, apologizing for all the foul language. It says:

The MTV Movie Awards is a live televised event known for irreverent comedy and a party atmosphere where our guests speak more freely than they otherwise might. While we aired the live broadcast with a delay, we were unable to mute every word that some might find objectionable. All of these words will be muted in subsequent airings.

We sincerely apologize to those in our audience who were offended by any objectionable words that might have slipped by for the live airing.

Consider your ass covered! Now, go start planning for next year's show! See if you can't manage to get the count to 200!

It's good to set goals.
