Larry Graham, the famed bassist for Sly and the Family Stone, performed a small concert at B.B. King nightclub in NYC, NY this week and was joined on stage by a good friend who decided to hop on stage and perform with him. Folks who were in the crowd that night to see Graham play his show were treated to a surprise impromptu performance by none other than Prince himself:

The one and only PRINCE joined funk legend and friend Larry Graham on stage tonight at B.B. Kings in New York City. We were told by a few funkenbabies that Prince looked faboosh and was in a great mood, and was moving in his seat all night before joining the bassmaster. Here is a cut of the funk. If it gets taken down, don’t blame us. We are just trying to share the funk as we want to “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” and hope you enjoy it!-Dr.FB

I just love when Prince pops up and does stuff like this. It’s a shame the audio quality of this video isn’t better but the video quality is pretty ace. Prince looks good. I got to see Larry Graham open for Prince on tour a few years ago … but it’s nice to see them playing on the stage together now. Dang, it would’ve been pretty damn cool to at B.B. King to see this live.
