Family Groups Speak Out Against Lady Gaga's Lollapalooza Stage Dive

Known for her outlandish style and performances, Lady Gaga once again set out to shock the masses this weekend, leaping offstage and into the crowd wearing nearly nothing during her performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. ET has the reactions of family groups who are displeased with the singer's behavior.

Family Circle, a magazine for moms raising teens and tweens, expressed their concern for Gaga's performance, saying: “Lady Gaga has become a cultural icon with fans of all ages, including young kids. Unfortunately in this case, she pushed the boundaries of acceptable behavior and many of her teen and tween fans had a front row seat to the show. Today’s kids are savvy and they know the difference between image and reality, but they’re still kids at heart, desperately seeking role models and ground rules to live by. As parents, we can’t sit on the sidelines; it’s our job to counteract the messages that equate cool and sexy with public nudity and random hook ups.”

The Catholic League also conveyed their disapproval of Gaga's crowd surfing, telling ET: "If a young gal on Spring Break did what Lady Gaga did--throwing herself half-naked into a crowd of crazies--we'd say she was a drunken fool (and God only knows what would happen to her after that). But when Lady Gaga does it, somehow it's considered artistic. This is all so totally surreal that we expect she'll sue the guys who grabbed her for sexual harassment."
