Yesterday afternoon we learned the shocking news that Jersey Shore castmember Nicole Snooki Polizzi was arrested in Seaside Heights, NJ while she and fellow castmates were filming new scenes for the upcoming 3rd season of their show. At the time it was reported that Snooki got busted for “disorderly conduct” but no further information was released by the authorities. Upon her arrest, Snooki‘s BFFs and fellow JS castmates Jenni JWoww Farley and Vinny Guadagnino made their way to the police station where Snooki was being held … but they were brutally rebuffed and sent away Snooki-less:

“Jersey Shore” cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been arrested in the New Jersey beach town where the MTV show is based. Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd says Polizzi was arrested at around 3:25 p.m. Friday and charged with disorderly conduct after other beachgoers reported she was bothering them. Polizzi was processed at police headquarters and released on a summons. MTV spokeswoman Emily Yeomans declined comment on the arrest, which came one day after the premiere of the show’s second season. Telephone messages left for SallyAnn Salsano, executive producer at “Jersey Shore” production company 495 Productions, and Pam LaLima, co-executive producer, were not immediately returned. The show focuses on the escapades of a group of hard-partying, 20-something Italian-Americans at a shore house.
I still contend that this arrest was more orchestrated than it may seem. I’m not saying that MTV talked Snooki into getting arrested but I would not be surprised at all if one or more of the Jersey Shore castmembers decided to take their fame infamy to the next level and decided to look for ways to get busted like this. It’s no secret that the famous get more famous once they get busted by the cops … after all, Lindsay Lohan is getting a lot more attention and work now that she’s been thrown into jail than she did in the year before her legal woes began. I wonder how long until the next Jersey Shore castmember gets thrown in jail. I wonder how far these morons will go to try and attain more “fame” and attention.
