US Weekly brings us a very cute photo of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s daughter Shiloh Nouvel jumping into a pool here in SoCal while she rocks a cute pair of boys swim trunks as her sister Zahara Marley looks on … behold:
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s latest look: Boys’ swimming trunks. UsMagazine.com exclusively has shots of the 4-year-old girl taking a dip with her sibs last weekend in Berkeley, Calif. Angelina Jolie told Vanity Fair last month that her daughter “wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.” Jolie, 35, said her daughter’s fashion is “fascinating” and described it as “Montenegro style.”
So many people like to make a fuss about Shiloh‘s love of boys’ clothes but I think she looks adorable and, most importantly, she looks happy. I personally think it’s completely normal for little children to dress however they please … countless little boys like to play dress-up with their sisters as do countless little girls like to play dress-up with their brothers. I think it’s really fantastic that Brangelina are so willing to let their children express themselves in their dress and, presumably, toys. It’s perfectly acceptable for boys to play with dolls (and it is accepted by all that boys play with “action figures” which are boy dolls) and for girls to play with cars, trucks, swords and other “traditionally male” toys. It really looks like the Jolie-Pitt children are being raised in such a way that they can happily express who they are in their dress and play … which will, I believe, help them to grow up as well-adjusted and open-minded adults. Shiloh looks adorable no matter what she wears … I’m just happy to see her looking so happy herself :)
