Lindsay Lohan, who spent her time in jail writing a new book, is enjoying day 2 of her 90 day rehab stint at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where she has been admitted to the Neuropsychiatric Hospital of the medical center. While Lindsay cleans up her act in rehab, the world outside continues to turn … and exploit her notoriety. A few weeks ago we learned that Lindsay Lohan posed for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine in the days leading up to the start of her jail sentence on July 20 and it was assumed that VF was the last magazine that Lindsay posed for and spoke with before going to jail. Today we learn that that is not the case … Lindsay made some time to pose for and speak with Maxim magazine as well. Here is our first look at Lindsay on the cover of Maxim and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:
Hope she looks this good after rehab! Sexy ex-con Lindsay Lohan scampered out of jail in the middle of the night yesterday and sneaked into her new home for the next three months — a locked-down rehab center in West LA. Just before going to jail two weeks ago, the troubled “Mean Girls” star posed for some sizzling snapshots for Maxim magazine, showing exactly why she’s still such a desirable commodity. Lohan told the lad mag she plans to re-devote herself to work in the next year, while mixing in some international travel. The plan is “to focus on myself and my work and to move all press on me to focus on the work I do,” Lohan said, in editions that hit newsstands a week from today. “Also, I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi.”
Um … what? No. Just … no. I get that Lindsay may think that she needs to fly around the world and do charity work but I contend she needs to settle her ass down and save herself. Before she can even think about doing “more work in India and travel to Malawi” she needs to get her own damn life in order and free herself from the addictions that forced her to go to jail and rehab in the first place. I think it’s best that she keep quiet about all this philanthropy she is planning to do once she gets done with her punishment … for everyone concerned. We know you’ve had a very trying week, and we want you to know that Maxim loves you. How are you feeling right now?
I am feeling strong. I’ve experienced a lot in my life, and my mom has given me a lot of faith. This too shall pass.What was it like to work with Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez in Machete?
We all had different work schedules, but I know Jessica, and I think she’s a lovely, sweet girl, and hopefully we can do more work together. I love Michelle — she’s so talented and kick-ass!What is your advice to others about how to cope with adversity?
Stay true to yourself always. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and be content with the choices you’ve made, and will make, in your life. Go with your gut!
We’ll have to wait about a week to see these photos in print in the new issue of Maxim but don’t forget that Lindsay is currently featured in the newest issue of Complex magazine, on newsstands now. As you may recall, she looked pretty fantastic in that photospread as well. In Hollwyood, jail = magazine coverstories. It’s a wonder that more celebs don’t go to jail more often.
