Yesterday we learned that Madonna‘s new juniors clothing line Material Girl officially went on sale at Macy’s department stores around the country and right now we get to see some photos from a concert event that took place at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC, NY last night for the launch. As y’all should know by now, actress/singer Taylor Momsen is the celebrity spokesmodel for Material Girl and she was on hand to bring her smiling visage to the launch event in NYC last night:
Taylor is also the frontperson for a new group called The Pretty Reckless and they performed a few songs at yesterday’s Material Girl clothing launch. To celebrate the release of this fun new juniors line of clothing, The Pretty Reckless were asked to entertain the assembled fans with a cheerful little ditty that would not only delight the young folks in the audience but would also inspire them and their parents to spend their hard earned money on Material Girl clothes … so, naturally, The Pretty Reckless decided to sing a song called Zombie:
Cheery, yeah? To be honest, Madonna made a great decision in hiring Taylor as the spokesmodel for Material Girl … not only is she a well know actress but the musical element is also a great boon for the brand.
